There are many different approaches to painting.
I work in layers, filling the blank canvas with marks. Sometimes I keep layering, waiting for images to appear. Other times I work from sketchbooks, having more of an idea of the final picture.

It’s a case of experimenting with ideas and materials until you find what works best for you.
